Easy hairstyles for black women ~ #1 The high Ponytail
I know when you think ponytail it can sound so boring, but instead of just putting your hair in a regular old boring ponytail, I am going to give you some hair tips to spice it up a bit. To perfect your high ponytail you want to put it in a sleek ponytail (using gel). Do whatever you have to do to get the ponytail as sleek and possible and as high on top of your head as possible. Which gives the ponytail a more finished and polished looked.
If you want to add some extra length as I did in my picture, try the drawstring ponytail. It legit takes less than 5 minutes to put in. Just pull all of your hair to the top of your head, put it in a bun, and attach the drawstring ponytail and that it is. This will give your ponytail style, length, and give it a different look from the traditional ponytails. Click here to buy the drawstring ponytail I have on in the picture for only $12. You can also review the entire blog that I did on drawstring ponytails here.
Also, watch my video below on how to apply a wrap around ponytail as well which is a quick and amazing option. Don’t forget to subscribe to my channel here. And click here to get the wrap-around ponytail listed in the video below.
Easy hairstyles for black women ~ #2 The Bun
My next easy hairstyles for black women is the sleek bun. Like the ponytail, a bun can seem super boring but there is a key to spicing it up. The first thing you want to do is to actually put either a middle or a side part in your hair. And just like the above tip sleek your hair down to give it a more finished look. As you can see from my picture putting a side part, swooping the hair, and even pulling out some baby hairs can make a huge difference between just a regular old bun and a nice sleek and classy bun.

~#3 The Half up and Half Down With A Bun
For this style. Just part your hair across and take the top part of your hair and twist it until you get a bun. For those who do not have this much hair in real life then I have a hack for you. The back of my hair is actually a wig. YES. And once again this styles takes about 10 minutes or less. Just get one of your favorite wigs, clip it into the back of your head, and then style the top. The wig I used in this picture is the Outre Dominican Blow Out Wig (which you can click here to buy). I know that this sounds difficult, but it really isn’t.
Check out the full video below to see how a style like this is done.

~#4 The Two Buns
These two buns are really easy to do and when I wore them I did feel like it made me look a lot younger. Which for a mom may not be a bad thing. Just part your hair into two and put them into buns. You can view the video below on how to do this. With or without fake hair.

~#5 Genie Ponytail
We are back to the ponytail but not just any ponytail the genie ponytail. I did a whole blog post on genie ponytails which you can click here to read, to see various genie ponytail options. As far as the one I am wearing it is a drawstring ponytail that once again takes about 5 minutes to attach to your head. And if you see the bangs in the photo, all of that comes with the ponytail. You do not have to make your own bang or even cut anything. Just attach the genie ponytail to your head along with the bang and that it is. ~#6 Just Throw a Beanie On Your Head
In the above picture, I was running super late for work and I did not have time to do my hair. As a result, I just threw a beanie on my head and the problem was solved. As a hairstyle tip for busy moms just do not throw any ugly beanie on your head (especially if you are going to work) but make sure that it is cute and try to place it on your head so that it looks more like a fashion statement as opposed to looking like you just did not know what to do with your hair. Check out another picture below to see what I mean.
Even in the above picture all this mask the fact that I did not have the time nor did I feel like doing my hair. But you can’t really tell you can you? As long as the hair that is showing looks nice then you can get away with your hair not being completely done. To buy the short wig in the above picture click here. ~#6 The Traditional Half Up and Half Down
For this hairstyle, all you are going to do is place the hair into two sections and put the top section in a high ponytail and leave the back out. You can play with the placement of the top portion of your hair but for me putting it really high really looks better to me. You can do it on straight or curly hair which gives it a different vibe each time.

~#7 Clip-Ins
In the above picture, I have on clip ins and you can click here to get the ones that I have as they come in many colors. Clip ins are extremely versatile. They come in curly hair, straight hair, human hair, and even synthetic hair. All you have to do is just clip it into your normal hair to either add volume or to put it over the hair you already have. Here are some videos that will show you both. First, you can watch my video in which I used these very affordable natural hair clip-ins that you can buy here.
Using Clip In To Cover Your Hair
As you can see clip-ins are very versatile, very easy to use, and also very quick to use when you are getting ready in the morning. If you get human hair clip-ins then you can style and curl them as if they were your actual hair. You can click here to see human hair clip-ins that you can style.
#8 Scarf
Similar to the beanie adding a decorative scarf over your head can change up your look tremendously. It can cover up the fact that your hair is not already done or you can elevate your look by matching your scarf to your outfit.

~#9 A Weave
In case you have not realized I am a huge fan of the weave. For the next hairstyle consider getting extensions or even a quick weave. Of course, you are not going to do this the morning of. Do it in advance. And once extensions are put in your hair then they can last for months on end. And when you get up in the morning your hair is pretty much already done. You may have to do some minor styling and that is about it. You can click my blog here on how to do a quick weave and also view my video below.

~#10 A Side Ponytail
So literally I think I have mentioned putting a ponytail on just about every part of your head and now it is time for the side ponytail. Out of all of the ponytails, I think that I love the side ponytail the most. It is quick and easy to do and it can be versatile for curly, wavy, or even straight hair. And like all ponytails that I have mentioned make sure that it is sleek and you can add a side or a middle part for additional flair.

~#11 A Wig.
There is nothing that is quicker than a wig when you do not have a lot of time to spend on your hair. The only thing you have to do is to just pop it on your hair and you are done. It legit takes less than 5 minutes. You can change the style, color, and even a cut in a matter of minutes. Click here to buy the wig in the picture.

~#12 Headwraps
The headwrap option is a bit different from the scarf option in the sense that the material is different and a head wrap normally covers your entire head. Whereas a scarf just covers some part of the head. In order for the head wrap to work, it needs to be made out of a certain material or it will slip off of your head. It cannot be made from satin or anything like that. I find that headwraps are VERY useful when I do not know what to do with my hair whatsoever, it needs to be washed, or I am in a rush. I just put on a headwrap and that is it. Click here to buy the head wrap on my head.

~#13 Ninja Bun
Another really easy style that can really make you look sophisticated is the top knot. To do this style just pull your hair up into a high ponytail, twist the hair, and wrap it around itself. If you are like me and you need a little extra help, then get some kanekalon hair to use for your ninja bun. Check out the tutorial below.
