The devil is real, and he is messing with your mindset. Which is why it is time to say satan get behind me. One of the major mistakes that people make is that they do not understand the works of the devil, how he operates, they underestimate the devil, feel that he does not exist therefore allowing the devil to run around rapid in your head.
I am going to get into the aspects of if the devil is real, the works of the devil so that you can understand how the devil comes to mess up your life. Forget the whole beast running around with horns and a pitchfork. The devil is in the details, the devil is in your mindset, and wants to destroy you and the following post will tell you exactly how he does it.

1. The Devil Is Real and He Operates
One thing that you must know is that the devil is real, he is smart, and he has been around before mankind. He did tempt Eve remember? And therefore he has had a lot of time to study mankind since their inception meaning that he knows exactly how to get to you.
Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
Therefore, it is important to know that the devil is real and he comes for you in your mind which is why the Bible verses says to be of sober mind because it is in those times when you are anxious, jealous, depressed, having anxiety, panicked, or when your mind is in complete and utter disarray that the devil will come into jack up your life.
It is a lot easier to mess with someone’s mindset when they are not in a sober mind, then they are doubtful when they are going through something hard. Because that is the prime time when the devil can come in to say
- Blame God because of what you are going through.
- Blame this person and come against them because of what you are going through.
- If you do not have any money, then it’s okay to steal from someone else because you need it.
- If you are lonely, it’s okay to commit adultery and steal that woman’s husband because you need someone.
Do you see that the devil comes in the moments in which you are vulnerable and that he will feast off of that and convince you to do something wrong? And you won’t even know it because of the vulnerability of your mindset will make you believe that you are justified in your action.
2. The Devil Is Real But Is Not Very Obvious
The fact that you are even asking or wondering if the devil is real means that he has succeeded at doing his job.
And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14
The devil is not just going to show up and say, “hey here I am, to destroy all of your hopes and your dreams listen to me.” No, instead it may come in the form something good. One common trick of the devil is to get people to belittle themselves and not even realize it. For example:
The devil may tell you not to start that business. You know nothing about business, and you do not want to waste your time energy or money on something that is going to fail anyway.
In your mind, you may be thinking that you are just protecting yourself from failure and saving yourself from future frustration. While in all actuality God told you to start that business which is why you got the idea in the first place, and now the devil has just tricked you into thinking that you are not good enough and a profitable business venture that could have changed your life and made you money.
Very settle indeed as it comes in the form of self-protection or that is how you perceive it when in all actuality it was to trick you out of a blessing. Check out my second video below for more on this.
3. Satan Is A Roaring Lion with No Teeth Which Is Why You Can Say Satan Get Behind Me
Remember the first Bible verse that I mention about Satan being a roaring lion? Well, guess what he does not have any teeth. What this means is that Satan may roar to scare you, but he cannot bite you. Therefore, it is a lot easier for Satan to come against you in your mindset.
Satan hates us because God loves us and Satan was kicked out of heaven so yeah he has a bone to pick with God and he uses messing with us people as a way to get back at God. I say that so that you can understand that if Satan can just come in the middle of the night and stab us all he probably would, but he can’t. He has no bite, instead, his tool is to get us to destroy ourselves with his trickery.
We all know the story of Adam and Eve and how Satan deceived Eve. Satan wanted to destroy mankind and he was a snake, why did he not just bite Eve kill her and call it a day. Because Eve was protected by God and thus, he had to convince Eve AKA mess with her mind to get her to jack up her own destiny.
Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden? Genesis 3:1
Notice the Bible verse said cunning as in smart and had a way to trick Eve into disobeying God. The snake had no fangs to bite and poison even because the snack was Satan, remember he has no teeth. But Satan was able to use his wit to get Eve to hurt herself.
4. The Devil Is Real & Satan is the author of confusion
We know this because Satan is the opposite of what God is. Take the following verse:
1 Corinthians 14:33 “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace.
Therefore, one of the mind games that the devil plays is that he wants to confuse you. He wants to confuse you into thinking that you are not good enough, to getting in a relationship that is emotionally abusive (see my blog here) under the gauze that the other person loves you. Satan wants to confuse you and destroy anything that gives you peace.
If you are ever in a situation and you are just confused, you do not know what decision to make, then that is a sign of the devil. Let us go back to Eve really quick. He said to her.
Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden? Genesis 3:1
Yes, of course, God said that. But Satan confused her with his lies by making her think that God did not say that and that she would be better of listening to him over God. Hence the confusion and causing her to eat the forbidden fruit. Be sure to check out my third video below on understanding the devil.
5. The Devil is Real & The Devil Is Sneaky
I want you to take the following Bible verse:
Satan Get Behind Me Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 2:11 “in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.”
The devil would not really be effective if he just popped out to you and said “hey here I am.” Instead, he will operate in such a way that you do not know it is him. As we spoke about the devil can come directly to you and mess with your mind, but when that does not work, he will then operate through other people to have them mess with your mind.
Have that person at work trying to bully you, get you fired, or that boss from hell, and that wants you to have a mental break down by the way they are treating you. The devil could be working through them and they not even know it.
Had that boyfriend who told you, you were ugly, that you were not worth anything, cheated on you, or even beat you. And now you suffer from low self-esteem. Once again that is the devil messing with you through them.
As the Bible verse says:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
Flesh and blood or people, and our fight is not against them but rather the forces that are operating within them which is the devil. Remember the devil is real but has no teeth, the devil roars, and the devil is cunning. The way in which he operates is to get into the minds of you, those you love, and those who are around you to screw with your mindset and break you down.
To steal your blessings and to keep you down. That is why it is so important for you to understand how the devil operates so you can be aware of his schemes and avoid them at all costs. The devil is real but not something to be afraid of because once you are aware and can resist then he will flee.
