For whatever reason when we think of affirmations we think of affirmations being some new age crap. But who says? Why can’t there be Christian affirmations or Biblical affirmations that we can use in the same way? In fact, I personally think that is what God intended. That is why Jesus said this whole thing about the faith of a mustard seed.
Why Christian Positive Affirmations Are Needed As An Act Of Faith
Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
Meaning that you have to speak things into existence, and call upon things as through that were:
God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were Romans 4:17
And that by simply opening up our mouth we have a WHOLE LOT OF POWER. The power to speak life or death into your situation and I can tell you from personal experience that I was speaking death to my own situation FOR THE LONGEST TIME (all for the sake of not wanting to be disappointed) and not even knowing it.
Why Christians Daily Affirmations Are Needed ~ Because You Need To Speak Life
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21
If you can bear with me for a second I want to tell you a REAL life story of how I was speaking death and when I decided to start speaking life AKA positive affirmations I transitioned into a full-time entrepreneur after trying to do so FOR YEARS! The fact of the matter is that I have been juggling a full-time job and my business for a LONG and I do mean a LONG time since 2012 to be exact.
God kept revealing to me to take a leap of faith into my business full time. BUT there was a difference between failing at this test and there was a difference between passing the test. And the difference was affirmations. Back in 2014, I FAILED the test horribly. I took a leap of faith without a plan which was the first issue and because I did not have a plan and in came the self-doubt. Where was the money going to come from, how was I going to do this, how was
I going to do that, why would God do this for me, nothing was going to happen, I am always broke, I will always be broke, and I just looked at the sky and prayed with a bunch of self-doubt wishing and hoping and praying that something would happen somehow WITHOUT actually believing it would. Sounds backward right? And as a result, nothing did and I was broke because that is what I spoke until I entered back into the workforce because of a failed business.
I stayed in this mindset for a long time even after I got a 9-5. Stunted in fear, still working on my business and making tremendous strides BUT still remaining in self-doubt and speaking down to my own destiny because of what happened last time and me not wanting to repeat past mistakes. And so my progress was still stunted despite all the work I put in.
BUT here came the same test again. I was working endlessly on my business and I was working a full-time job AND God told me to leap again. This time I was not going to just be stupid. Leaping into the abyss with no plan and a bunch of self-doubts. Because I realized that the reason why it was not fully working out for me is that I was speaking down to my own destiny and not believing (Click here to read my blog on the power of the tongue).
Whenever Jesus healed someone notice that He always said that your faith has healed you (Mark 5:34, Luke 17:19). BUT when He could not heal someone notice that He always said that it was because the person lacked faith (Matthew 13:58). Yes, God can do a lot but working over your insecurities and doubt is NOT one of those things. And so, I got rid of my negative thinking. This time I did positive affirmations from the Christian Manifestation Guide I created which you can buy here or click the picture below, and now I am a full-time entrepreneur. It is amazing how affirmations, coupled with faith, and action can change your life. And although I highly encourage you to get my guide, I am still going to share 10 Christian and Biblical Affirmations below That Will Change Your Life.
The main thing that keeps people held back is FEAR, that is why the following affirmations are based on increasing faith. (Remember the whole faith of a mustard seed) AND eliminating fear. This will assist God in answering your prayers.
If you want to come up with your own Christian affirmations for the future:
As a little tidbit if you want to come up with Christian affirmations on your own remember that it is best to come up with Biblical affirmations. Like in my Christian Manifestation Guide, I have both the Bible verse AND the affirmation. It is easy for you to affirm and increase your faith if you know without a shadow of a doubt that what you are saying is Bible-based. That way you know that what you are affirming is directly in accordance with God’s word and you are not just pulling it from the sky and hoping for the best.
Next, you come up with your own affirmation that is in alignment with the Biblical affirmation (meaning the Bible scripture) AND that meets what it is in your life that you want to affirm. For example, in my Christian Manifestation Guide, I address self-esteem, faith, prosperity, and more. AND all of the Christian affirmations are backed up with scripture. Now that I have talked your head off, let’s get to what you came here for shall we?
