A new trend that I have noticed is ash grey hair. I have become a big fan of grey hair that I am loving all forms of it. You can go to my past wig reviews on the short grey hair (see here) and the long grey hair wig reviews (see here). But those wigs were more of the silver grey wig color and I have been seeing this ash grey hair EVERYWHERE. At first I was unsure about the ashy look but then it grew on me.
Aside from the ashy grey hair color this wigs also comes in other colors. Just in case you are not feeling this one.
That is when I settle upon this It’s a wig Lace Gala Hair in the Color Heather Grey. Which is a synthetic wig that is affordable. So if I did not like the color on me I would not have felt like I wasted a lot of money on a wig I did not like. The first thing about this wig is that it does have the ash grey hair color but the color is so dimensional. It even looks like it has settle tints of purple in it.
But for the most part it is an ash grey wig and it looks like it is mixed with both brown and a grey color. The model of the wig makes the hair look like more of a yaki texture, but when I got my wig it was not that way at all. I was prepared to flat iron the wig just to remove the roughness that appeared on the wig, but my wig was very smooth and I wore it right out of the pack.
It is a lace front wig and the part is pretty realistic. Like I said I wore it right out of the pack and did not have to do much to it to make it look good. The roots of the wig are somewhat dark which I always like dark roots because it makes blending your real hair so much easier. But overall the ash grey hair color is more apparent than the dark roots. When I got the wig I was not sure how it was going to go, but when I wore this wig I got so many compliments on it that I now love it. I also paired my outfit with neutral tones because I felt like it really brought out the color of the wig better.
