On black Friday I found myself in an unlikely place looking for deals. My cousin wanted to go into Claire’s to find some earrings or herself. Since I am 32 years old, I cannot say that I go to Claire’s, because it seems like more of a teenager type of shop. But as soon as I got in there I was surprised at how Claire’s has moved up in the world. Particularly in the area of makeup. They had some pretty good grown people make up and it was super affordable.
Seeing as how it was black Friday they had a buy 3 get 3 for free. Which means that I racked up the following items for less than $30.
- Lip Gloss
First we have this set of lip gloss. It is some pretty pigmented lip-gloss if I do say so myself. I chose this color set because I felt that it went best with my skin tone, but they had different shades as well.
Okay so this says Icing blush which is technically another store, but I got it at Claire’s. I love the shimmer-ness of it (if that is a word). It is not very pigmented, it is very settle actually. But I don’t mind, I actually prefer it that way.
3. The eyeliner
I love liquid eyeliner, it is all I use. So when I saw this one, I was like why not. It is really just an eyeliner pin that had two sides. Nothing too fancy. It will get the job done.
4. Bronzer beads.
I probably do not need any more bronzer anything, but I just could not resist these beads. I would have loved to swatch them for you, BUT I cannot figure out how to get the powder out. No matter what I did, the powder from the beads was not trying to come loose. But from the looks of the beads, it seems like once I get it out, I will like it a lot.
This was my favorite product in the store. I love the color and designs that they had. Each pack also comes with STRONG glue to keep the nails in place. And even though I thought it was a child store, the nails actually did fit my nails just fine.
I love affordable and if you are looking for cheap make up or if you are a beginner make up user, I recommend Claire’s.
